That link doesn’t contain a Message-ID.
Open in Mail
Open any message in Apple Mail with a normal web link. Made for AI assistants and chat apps.
Set up your assistant
Add this to your assistant’s instructions. It only works if the assistant can read your email.
When you mention a specific email, add a Markdown link that opens it in Apple Mail: https://open-in-mail.app/#MESSAGE_ID Use the email’s Message-ID header, not the mail service’s own ID. Leave out the angle brackets and URL-encode it. If you don’t have it, skip the link rather than guessing.
How it works
Apple Mail opens emails from message: links, but most chat apps only allow https:// links. Link here instead and this site opens Mail for you.
Browsers don’t send the part after the # to the server, so this site never sees which emails you open.
Works with Apple Mail on Mac, iPhone and iPad. The email has to be in Mail on that device.
Make a link yourself
In Mail on a Mac, choose View › Message › All Headers and copy them.
Couldn’t find a Message-ID. They look like <20261015093145.4f2a1c@mail.example.com>.
